Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it — in plain language.
This policy explains how Schema handles information when you visit the site or get in touch. We've kept it plain.
Schema Consulting, LLC ("Schema," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information as described below when you visit schemaconsult.com, book a call, or contact us. Where something carries legal weight inside an actual working relationship, your signed engagement agreement and our Policies & Ethics govern the specifics; this page covers the website and your first points of contact.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a form, book a call, send an email, or otherwise reach out, we collect what you choose to share — typically your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your situation.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours — hosted on Squarespace — may collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, through cookies and similar technologies. If and when we add analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics) or marketing tools, the data they collect will be covered here and reflected in our cookie notice.
Scheduling information
We use Calendly to book calls. When you schedule, Calendly collects the information you provide to set the appointment, subject to Calendly's own privacy policy.
Payment information
Some services may be paid online through a third-party payment processor; others are invoiced or pre-paid as arranged separately. When you pay online, your payment is handled by that processor (for example, Squarespace's commerce processor or Stripe), and we do not collect or store your full payment-card details.
How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to you and schedule and conduct consultations
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services and the site
- Send communications you've asked for, and respond to your requests
- Keep the site secure and functioning
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
Cookies are small files that help a website function and help its owner understand how it's used. Squarespace sets certain cookies by default to operate the site. We may add analytics and, in time, marketing tools; when we do, this section and our cookie notice will reflect them. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and where the law requires it, we'll present a cookie banner so you can make choices before non-essential cookies are set.
How we share it
We don't sell your personal information, and we share it only in these limited ways:
- With service providers who help us run the practice — such as our website host (Squarespace), our scheduler (Calendly), our payment processor, and our email tools — each handling data under their own terms
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Schema, our clients, or others
- In connection with a business transfer, if Schema's assets ever change hands, subject to this policy
Third-party services & links
Our site relies on and links to third-party services — including Squarespace, Calendly, our payment processor, social platforms, and Relationship Capital. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review their policies. We aren't responsible for the content or privacy practices of services or sites we link to.
Retention & security
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here or as the law requires, then dispose of it appropriately. We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices & rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of non-essential communications at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us and we'll respond as those laws require.
A note on confidentiality
Information you share through this website or an initial inquiry is handled under this Privacy Policy. How confidentiality works inside an actual engagement — including who the "client" is and how information is treated — is described in our Policies & Ethics and governed by your signed agreement.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we'll update the date above.
